Announcement: Bermuda Red Cross Golf Tournament

What’s up everyone,

I’m hoping you’ve enjoyed your week, and I’m sure you’ve got some great weekend plans? Surely they include watching France win back-to-back World Cups! Let me know who you guys think will win in the comments!

This post is probably gonna be a shorter one, as it is really just an announ

cement, which includes a preliminary working plan of said announcement, but now without further ado, let’s get stuck in!

Well… What is it??

I’m excited to announce that AceBoy Sports Group will be involved in the organizing of the Bermuda Red Cross Golf Tournament, which will be taking place in May 2023. We were approached to work on this opportunity from members of the Bermuda Red Cross Board, and are excited to work with one of the larger charitable organizations on the island. Terms of our partnership have not yet been ironed out, but I expect us to be contracted on a pro-bono basis, given it is on behalf of a non-profit and proceeds will be donated.

Why would we do this?

With this being a sporting event, it is pretty obvious on the face of it why we would accept the offer to be involved. But more to the point, this would represent what could turn out to be the largest event ABSG would be involved with since its incorporation. This would thrust the company more prominently into the public eye, and being seen as working with and supporting a charitable organization is a great association to have. Additionally, this would allow us to fulfill one of our longer-term pipeline objectives of breaking into the sport of golf, via events. Being able to do this through The Bermuda Red Cross, allows us to do it partnership with a larger organization which will hopefully be a beneficial endeavour for all parties involved.

What will we bring to the table?

This is a fantastic opportunity for AceBoy Sports Group, and while the terms of the partnership have not been ironed out yet, I’m hoping we will have some form of creative control around the planning and execution of the event. I’d love to be able to incorporate some fun and exciting fan activations and get other local community organizations involved in some way. With this being a charitable event, it would be great if multiple local companies could also take part. While the size of this event will most likely eclipse the scale of Battle on the Blacktop (editions #1 and #2), I’d like tpo bring that same community element to this tournament, just on a large scale. That would keep us in-line with our goal of bridging and connecting our community through sport, something I believe that ABSG and the Red Cross are in a prime position to do here.

That’s pretty much it for today’s post! Sorry I couldn’t go into more detail, but I should have some more info for you in the coming weeks!

Until then, enjoy your weekend, enjoy the game, and wish our Reapers luck in their match this Saturday night!

Check you later!
