Building a Go-To Network for Agents

What's worked for me!

Hey everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed last week’s edition of Learning the Venture, where I introduced you to our newest client athletes, Daniel Cook and Chikosi Basden. We’re buzzing to start working with them and can’t wait to get cracking!

As a small update for you, Chikosi has since signed with Buckhurst Hill FC, who he has spent the majority of preseason with so far. He’s thoroughly impressed the management team, and we’re looking forward to seeing Chikosi in action with his new club, who have got a fantastic player on their hands. Up the Stags!

This week’s edition is for my fellow agents, regardless of their sport and whether you’re an aspiring agent or not, this will be a good read for you. So, if you are new here go ahead and subscribe and join the roster! I’ll be discussing the importance of building a network for an agent, specifically with regards to having go-to contacts that you can pitch players to confidently, quickly, and most of all, efficiently.

Keep in mind, this is me sharing my thoughts and practices I’ve implemented while networking myself over the past few years, what I’ve found to be really helpful, and what hasn’t really worked out so well. Hopefully, a few of you find some value here and I’d love to hear any methods you might have when connecting to club officials, brands, etc.

Now, let’s get started!
