In this week’s edition, I’m going to give a snapshot of how an athlete can get started on social media when it comes to building out their online presence.

It is no secret that in today’s digital age, an athlete (or anyone really) can build a following via various social media platforms in order to monetize their brand.

I’ve started to do this from an agency/entrepreneurial side, with this newsletter and the podcast version being the main drivers.

Full disclosure I am not a “social media manager”. Part of being an agent requires me to be knowledgeable in multiple areas, something I’ve touched on a few times in this newsletter. Social media management and development is one of those areas. I point my clients in the right direction based off what has proven to work and what are known starting points in this area.

What I will be sharing today is from my own knowledge from what I’ve done on my own platforms, but also through conversations I’ve had with reputable professionals in the industry who specialize in social media for athletes.

Now, let’s get stuck in!
