Targeted Football Markets for 2023 and Beyond
The countries and jurisdictions we've got our eyes on...
Good morning everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and as much as it pains me to say it, to any Manchester City fans reading today, congratulations on a memorable season, a treble winning season is an amazing feat…
…just remember who did it first wink wink.
Last week I touched on the many things I’ve learned working in athlete management over the last few years, and how those lessons have been utilized in continuing to build out the client representation arm of AceBoy Sports Group. Keeping within the theme of athlete management, this week I’ll be highlighting and discussing the three football jurisdictions that we’ve identified as our next targeted markets for our clients in the latter half of 2023 and beyond.
Now, let’s get stuck in!
This might come at a bit of a shock, but the English football market is very competitive, and it can be really difficult to get your foot in the door, regardless of whether you’re a player, coach, or agent. This isn’t just at the top of the pyramid either, this trickles all the way down to Step 6 of non-league, where there are hundreds of players and managers trying to cement themselves and climb up the levels.
While ABSG has definitely got a bit of foothold in the English market, it could absolutely be stronger, which we will always continue to work towards. With Bermuda being a British Overseas Territory, we are automatically classed as British citizens making it incredibly easy to live and work in the UK. However, as competition increases in England and the level of football in other jurisdictions improves, it only makes sense to explore these as options for our clients.
