In this week’s edition, I’d like to take the opportunity to “re-group”.
This newsletter has seen quite a substantial amount of growth over the last few weeks, and I couldn’t be happier with that, so thank you!!
With that being said, I think this presents a great time to give not only our new subscribers but also the OGs some insight into where the company is headed now that we’ve reach Q4 of 2024.
As you’ll know, this summer transfer window was a bit of let down on the face of it, especially considering the amazing momentum we had going into the period.
I mentioned in last week’s edition (which you can checkout on the homepage) that the window was incredibly competitive. I knew this going in, but the level of competition within the levels of football we were looking into was immense, and it was a great learning opportunity for not only myself but for our clients as well.
So, without further ado, let’s get stuck in!
First and foremost, ABSG will continue to build out its athlete representation pillar. That is a non-starter and is something that I’m hoping will be at the forefront of our operations for the foreseeable future, and long into the company’s existence.
The types of athletes we represent however, could differ.
There are a few companies and other entrepreneurs in the space that I’ve been slowly modeling ABSG after, and I think it is time to step up those efforts!
I’ve long preached that diversity among football agents is important, whether that be level, position, age, etc., you name it. That is also true for the sports your clients play as well. Football is not the end game for ABSG, never has been, and never will be.
There is so much potential in the magnificent industry that is sports, and ABSG will be trying to compete on as many fronts as possible. This can be done but a smaller, specialized company. There are a handful of successful agencies that operate across various facets of “management” in a sporting sense, and I have no doubts I can achieve the same at ABSG.
This is something I’ll be discussing more of in the coming months, so stay tuned 😉
